Actor Anil Kapoor who will be seen playing a Mumbai Police ACP Afaaque Baagraan in Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout at Wadala says that the people in the 80’s were not afraid of the police.
Speaking of his role in the film, Anil said, "I am playing ACP in Shootout at Wadala and there were gangsters in Bombay in 80s and there was no fear of police. There used to be murders and rapes happening in the city and they used to do what they want."
Also when asked as to how is it like to play real life characters onscreen, the actor stated, "It's easy because you get lot of information from the same person and also get info from the right source. It is difficult because if the character is there then people will compare. If its imaginary character then people will assume whatever you show them,"
