Even after being the son of a Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky had to face his share of trouble to make his debut in the industry.
"There's a usual perception that directors star kids ko launch karne ke liye unke aage pichey ghumte rehte hain. I don't blame that ideology. But people don't know how hard I have to work and prove myself constantly. They don't know I lost 60 kilos to have a body like this. I'm not a superstar who can guarantee a film's success even before signing it. If you are a star kid, getting the first film is easy but to continue beyond that, you need to have the potential in you. If being a star kid helped you as an actor, I probably would have been the next big thing of Bollywood," said the actor in an interview.
He also said that a lot is expected from star kids and if they fail to deliver it, they become part of all the criticism.
